Our team is led by Max, the owner, whose deep passion for saltwater fly fishing was honed over countless years fishing the vibrant waters of Mexico and the Caribbean. He's joined by an elite group of local guides, each a master of their home waters: Angel "aka Grasshopper," Oscar “Tiburon”, Darwin “Dawito”, and Eve.     Leading our expeditions is Max, the owner and a lifelong fly fisherman whose passion for saltwater tropical species was ignited growing up fishing the vibrant waters of Mexico and the Caribbean.

    Angel "Grasshopper"

    Angel "aka Grasshopper": A true legend on the water, Angel has nearly two decades of guiding experience in Holbox. His exceptional skill is highlighted by his two Mayan Permit Tournament wins in Xcalak, both achieving Super Grand Slams, making him one of the most accomplished and sought-after guides in the region.

    Oscar "Tiburon": A Holbox native, Oscar is one of the island's premier whale shark guides, renowned for his expertise in safely navigating encounters with these majestic giants. Beyond the whale sharks, his deep, lifelong connection to Holbox's waters makes him a passionate and highly skilled fly angler, intimately familiar with every flat, mangrove channel, and productive fishing ground around the island.     Darwin Vega ("Dawito"): With over two decades of guiding experience in Holbox, Darwin possesses a deep passion for fly fishing that has taken him to waters around the globe. This extensive international perspective, combined with his profound understanding of Holbox's diverse fisheries, makes him an exceptional guide for any angler seeking to connect with the "Silver King" and other local species.

    Holbox native, Eve has spent his entire life fishing and navigating the island's unique waters. His generational knowledge and innate understanding of the local tides, fish movements, and hidden spots ensure a truly authentic and productive fishing experience. Beyond fly fishing, Eve also leads exciting Cabo Catoche tours where you can fish, snorkel, and enjoy "catch and cook" experiences right on the boat or at an awesome local restaurant in town, where he can expertly prepare your fresh catch or provide other delicious local seafood.
